Parents and observers support learning with Help my student
Parents and other observers can access this tool by visiting the activity in the Observer app and clicking Help My Student when it appears for supported activities.

When clicked, BusyBee's Help My Student suggests supplemental activities that observers can use to help their student better understand and apply the concepts in the activity.

Parents and other observers can support learning outside of the classroom with Help My Student:
- Identify target areas: Use the suggested activities to address specific areas where the student may need extra help.
- Encourage active participation: Guide the student through the additional exercises, fostering a collaborative learning experience.
- Monitor progress: Regularly use the tool to adjust the level of support as the student improves.
Teachers can support instruction with Help My Student:
- Provide resources to parents: Suggest using the Help My Student tool to parents who are looking for ways to support learning outside of the classroom.
- Complete activities with students: Use Help My Student to generate activities for students to compete as a class or in small groups.
Which activity types does Help My Student work with?
Help My Student is supported by the following Activity types
- These activity types can use Help My Student only when they are not gradable:
- Assignments
- Custom Activity
- Embedded code
- File attachment
- Google Drive documents
- Website links
- Rich-text activity
- YouTube videos
- These activity types can be gradable or not:
To generate responses, Help My Student requires at least 50 words of total, relevant content to be present between the following items in an activity:
- The activity's Content field
- Learning objectives aligned with the activity
- The activity's Description field
- Assessment questions in assessments
- The html template file in Assessment templates
Help My Student requires text-based activity content. This is particularly important to remember with media content like YouTube videos or file attachments that are images.
