BusyBee is a Buzz Add-on

If you are interested in trying BusyBee, reach out to your account manager.

Course authors can enable BusyBee study tools for supported Buzz activities to promote the learning journey.

Which BusyBee study tools can I enable for activities?

Using this setting, course authors can enable the following BusyBee study tools for activities:

  • Get Help offers real-time tutoring for students.
  • Check My Understanding provides practice questions to boost learning.
  • Review Key Concepts generates flashcards about essential topics and terms.
  • Help My Student provides parents and other observers with ideas and activities they can use to support their students' learning.

Only the tools that are enabled in your domain can be enabled for an activity

For example, if Check My Understanding is disabled for your domain, course authors cannot enable it for an activity.

Which activity types can BusyBee study tools be enabled for?

BusyBee's study tools (Get Help, Check My Understanding, and Review Key Concepts) can be enabled for the following Activity types:

  • Assessments
  • Assignments
  • Custom activities
    • Note: BusyBee does not access content directly from LTI activities. In order for the tools to work properly with them, you must add a Description and/or Objectives to the activity.
  • Embedded code
  • File attachment
  • Google Drive Document
  • Rich-text activity
  • YouTube video

BusyBee's AI cache for Check My Understanding, Review Key Concepts, and Help My Student is updated when key activity content changes or when the cache has not been refreshed in about three months. Changes to an activity's Content field, Metadata > Description field, or Learning objectives trigger an AI cache refresh
