Teachers can use the BusyBee Question Assistant to help them create comprehension questions based on the content in an activity or a passage. BusyBee tailors questions to match lesson goals, allowing you to focus more on teaching while BusyBee handles the question generation.

Create content sources for the Question Assistant

Before following the steps below, create the Activity or Passage question that you want the questions based on.

The following Activity types can be used as content sources for the Question Assistant when they are not gradable:

The Question Assistant can also use a Passage question within the assessment as content.

BusyBee needs relevant content to help

To generate responses,  Question Assistant requires at least 50 words of total, relevant content to be present between the following items :

  • The selected activity's Content field
  • Learning objectives with the selected activity
  • The selected activity's Description field
  • The selected Assessment templates' HTML file (In order to generate questions, you must save the activity after uploading the template file.)
  • The selected Passage question (Content pulled from a passage is used alone, so it must meet the requirements on its own.)

Question Assistant requires text-based activity content. This is particularly important to remember with media content like YouTube videos or file attachments that are images.
