Buzz Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform, version 3.0.533 available on September 3, 2026.
BusyBee updates
- Fixed an issue where BusyBee Chats could cover material unrelated to the activity because the cached source material wasn't being shared correctly across all users.
- Fixed an issue where the BusyBee's Grading Assistant could mistake content in the Metadata > Description field as student work if written in first person.
Buzz updates
- Added a View responses button to the Non-gradable dialog in the Gradebook, giving teachers a way to review a student's individual question responses on a non-gradable assessment.
- Expanded the keyword strings used in the Domain settings > Search settings field, so more related terms surface a setting.
- Renamed the BusyBee chats section in Domain settings to BusyBee monitoring to better reflect that it covers BusyBee Chat and Get Help conversations.
- Combined the LTI 1.1 and LTI 1.3 Publish Anywhere sections into one in Domain settings.
- Updated the activity player header to automatically use a contrasting text color based on the selected course color.
- Updated the Allow user to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) setting in Domain settings to apply to students only. This setting now appears in the Student options card and reads Allow students to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA).
- Updated Administrator, Teacher, and Observer accounts to be automatically allowed to set up multi-factor authentication rather than requiring the admin to allow it in the domain.
- Added a new Course resource category to Data Streams with four new events.
- Made general accessibility updates.
Buzz fixes
- Resolved an issue in Domain settings where the Text editor and Save buttons were disabled when a domain had single sign-on authentication settings configured.
- Fixed an issue where printing the Questions tab from an activity's Grade Details page in the student app could show a scrollbar and cut content off to a single page.
- Fixed an issue in the activity editor where rendering question banks using 'Link to existing question' would sometimes delay until the user interacted with the UI.
- Fixed an issue in Domain settings where pressing Enter in any field, such as the settings search box, could unexpectedly open the color picker on the Theme card.

Dawn Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Dawn platform versions 2026.0903.180233 & 2026.0903.193210, available on September 3, 2026.
Dawn updates
- Added learners whose work was recently sent back for another attempt to "Learners needing intervention", with a short explanation on the enrollment list and enrollment page of why each learner needs attention.
- Added the learner's submission alongside the review of it in the coach feed, and added coach feedback and private coach notes to the progress page for surveys and interactive packages and to project reviews.
- Fixed an issue where an activity set to appear at the very end of a video could fail to open, or close again immediately, leaving learners unable to complete it.
- Fixed issues with a learner's progress: a lesson containing a video could stay "In progress" after every part of it had been finished, and the mastery award for a written answer could be lost shortly after a coach's review or show a score no coach had given.
- Fixed several coach review issues: editing a project review added a second copy instead of updating the original, a review scored against criteria could not be submitted when none had been met, and a link to earlier comments showed nothing when opened.
- Fixed various minor interface issues.
- Added the overall mastery award for an instruction to its progress details, which previously showed only one part's score and could appear to disagree with the progress list.
- Fixed issues with mastery points learners could not earn: a course could show more points available than were actually possible, and adding a rubric to a written answer someone had already submitted left it ungraded and hidden from coaches. Those answers now return to the coach's review queue.
