UI improvements to support overall usability and accessibility in Buzz
As previously announced, in this release, you will see UI improvements to support overall usability and accessibility in Buzz.
Updated page title order and placement
To better support screen readers and improve usability, we are updating the order and placement of page titles on some screens.
Tool titles now appear first, with the course title displayed below it, providing users a clearer indication of which page they are on and giving both titles more space.
Updated activity due date and agenda indicators in the Calendar
To improve accessibility, we are updating the due date and agenda indicators in the Calendar.
Dates with due items or course agendas include a single indicator and the number of items to review on that day. Users can continue to select the day to view the full list of items, as well as hide courses from the view and the number displayed to reflect only the visible course items.
Side menu layout for Domain settings
We have updated the Domain Settings screen to make settings easier to find and manage.
The Domain settings cards are now organized in a side menu, so users can select the setting they want to view or edit. Use the Search settings bar that to filter for and quickly find specific settings.
BusyBee updates
In this release, we also made the following BusyBee updates:
- Improved the way the BusyBee Grading Assistant reads and scores editable PDF submissions.
Buzz updates
In this release, we:
- Updated the Domain settings password policy to support a General policy and role-specific policies for Admins, Teachers, and Observers.
- Improved the course cards layout to make it better reflect the correct ordering.
- Improved accessibility and usability by adjusting color contrast for all themes.
- Improved accessibility in Buzz by updating the browser tab titles to lead with the specific tools or activities the user is viewing.
- Updated Formative and Remediation assessments to never excuse activities or offer remediation until all questions have been scored.
- Made general accessibility enhancements.
Buzz fixes
In this release, we also:
- Fixed an issue where bulk-editing Custom Activities to make them gradable could leave a completion trigger selection in place that is not supported for gradable activities. In this instance, the "Mark as complete when the student" selection now updates to “Submits this activity” (a supported value) as part of the bulk edit.

- Updated OneRoster SIS sync usernames to be case insensitive to better support username matching.
Fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the

Dawn Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Dawn platform version 2026.0827.223357, available on August 27, 2026.
Dawn updates
In this release, we:
- Improved the contrast of text, buttons, links, and other elements that use your site's theme colors, so they stay readable in both light and dark modes.
- Fixed an issue where the search box on a learner's Groups tab had no effect.
- Improved coaching features to allow them to retract a review, their own or another coach's, and to show who wrote each review and when.
- Fixed an issue where learners incorrectly saw UI to submit or delete coach reviews.
- Fixed an issue where some tooltips were hidden behind the top header.
