A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform, version 3.0.497 available on January 29, 2026.
Buzz achieves WCAG 2.2 A and AA compliance
We're excited to share the next step in our accessibility efforts: Buzz is now WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA compliant. This milestone builds on our WCAG 2.1 compliance and reflects continued, focused work to improve accessibility as standards evolve. Accessibility remains a priority for us, and we'll keep investing in thoughtful improvements to ensure Buzz is usable and inclusive for all learners and educators.

Buzz fixes
In this release, we:
- Fixed a style issue where an icon was getting clipped in Course settings.
- Fixed an issue where many icons in Buzz displayed as text instead of the icon when the end-user had installed the “AI Content Detector” browser extension from Copyleaks.
- Fixed an issue in the Gradebook > Minutes footer where, when a Period was selected, the displayed value didn't update to show the total minutes for that period.

Dawn Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Dawn platform version 2026.0129.182544, available on January 29, 2026.
Dawn updates
In this release, we made the following updates to Dawn 2.0 (released for preview use 12/5):
- Gave authors the ability to choose fonts.
- Gave authors the ability to left or right align an image to wrapping text.
- Added the ability to provide a mobile phone number in addition to an email address when creating an account.
- Updated Slideshows to allow reordering slides.
- Added the ability to assign coaches to groups.
- Gave root administrators the ability to assign an Archive date to Groups. Groups are no longer displayed for coaches after this date passes.
- Gave root administrators the ability to edit and delete Groups in bulk.
