Buzz Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform, version 2026.1015.160844 available on October 15, 2026.
Now available in Open domainÂ
These features were previously limited in Open domain and now work in the following ways:
- Domain settings: Saving changes and the Show text editor button.
- Courses: Copy a shared course, for courses shared with the domain you opened through a subscription, including a subscription a parent domain extends to its subdomains.
- Courses: Create new with a Template, when the domain you opened has a subscription to the course the template was built from (or that course is in the opened domain or its subdomains).
- Teacher Course tools: Home, Activities, Grades, People, Editor, and Copy course for teacher enrollments on the opened domain.

Improved Draw tool in Buzz's rich text editor
We replaced the rich text editor’s Draw tool with a redesigned, more accessible version. It opens in a movable window that is only as large as the image needs, so you can see the activity or content behind it while you draw.
The new Draw tool is built so that everyone can use it:
- Keyboard accessible: The drawing tools can be reached and used from the keyboard, so you do not need a mouse to create or edit an image.
- Single-click use: The tools work with a single click, so you do not need to click and drag or hold a button down to use them.
- See your content while you draw: Move the Draw window out of the way to view the activity or content behind it as you work.

BusyBee updates
In this release, we improved BusyBee so students are warned as they near the message limit for a conversation and instruct them to reset to continue.
Buzz updates
In this release, we:
- Improved browser tab titles in Buzz to show more precise page names, giving users better screen context and navigation indicators.
- Improved the Open domain experience, so that clicking OK after an "Access Denied" error keeps you in the app you were using instead of sending you to the Admin app.
- Fixed an issue where right-clicking a link and choosing "Open link in new tab" opened the domain home page instead of that item.
- Improved handling of errors and retry in Buzz.
- Made the Draw tool window movable, so users can see the content behind it while they use it.
- Added a prompt to save edits made in the rich text editor's Code View before navigating away.
Buzz fixes
In this release, we also:
- Fixed an issue where the Add identity provider field under SAML authentication had overlapping text.
- Fixed an issue where printing an activity using an assessment template would cut off part of the content when the assessment template was wider than the page.
- Fixed an issue where closing the Activity editor while in the rich text editor’s Code View showed an "Unable to navigate" error for content template activities.

Dawn Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Dawn platform version 2026.1014.084714, available on October 15, 2026.
Dawn updates
In this release, we:
- Added start date fields to certificates, showing when the learner’s cohort started or, if they are not in a cohort, when they enrolled.
- Improved loading performance by making the video player download about 40% smaller.
- Fixed an issue where the link or QR code shared from a certificate did not open the certificate.
- Fixed an issue where the Invitation links page could load slowly and show "No results found".
