Buzz Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform, version 3.0.493 available on January 8, 2026.
Buzz achieves WCAG 2.1 A and AA compliance
We're pleased to share that the Buzz platform is now WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA compliant. Accessibility is priority for us, and this milestone reflects ongoing, intentional work to make Buzz more usable and inclusive for all learners and educators. We continue to invest in accessibility as the platform evolves.

Buzz updates
In this release, we updated Data Streams so that deleting a group triggers both Group deleted and Group members changed events provided those events are enabled. This ensures consumers are notified of both the group’s removal and the resulting changes to member status.
Buzz fixes
In this release, we also:
- Fixed an issue where opening the rich-text editor with an iframe as the only content would cause the iframe to be deleted.
- Improved keyboarding and fixed other accessibility issues on the popup calculator that can be enabled for assessments.
