Buzz Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Buzz platform, version 2026.1001.000025 available on October 1, 2026.
Open domain is easier to use
As part of our ongoing efforts to support more secure cross-domain navigation, we have:
Improved Open domain by replacing the free-text prompt with a typeahead picker, so you no longer need to enter the exact Domain ID or userspace.
Added an Open domain action to the Admin App QuickNav, so that after finding a domain, you can now open it in a new tab directly.
Buzz updates
In this release, we:
- Made general security improvements.
- Updated the Unproxy option to End proxy session when proxying to an outside domain in order to improve security. End proxy session signs the proxy user out and closes the tab.
- Updated the timeout behavior when proxying in an outside domain to improve security. When a session times out, the user is no longer asked to sign back in.
Buzz fixes
In this release, we also:
- Fixed an issue where saving Domain settings could re-enable LTI 1.3 tools that had been disabled.
- Fixed an issue where two password visibility (eye) icons appeared in the password field on the login page when using Microsoft Edge.
- Fixed an issue where clicking links or cells inside a table in the rich text editor could cause the browser tab to freeze on Chromebooks.
- Fixed an issue where notes from a teaching enrollment could appear in the student app's Notes page for the same user when View past courses was turned on.
- Fixed an issue where a completed activity could remain in a student's To-Do list after a late submission when the course automatically assigns the minimum score to past-due activities.

Dawn Release Notes
A round-up of all improvements and changes to the Dawn platform version 2026.0930.220412, available on October 1, 2026.
Dawn updates
In this release, we:
- Added a Complete or Incomplete badge to reviews.
- Added a "Try again" status and a course player banner for work that was sent back, and learners now see "Awaiting review" for work waiting on a coach.
- Added a "Needs intervention" filter and reason labels to the enrollment lists, and newly added report columns now appear by default.
- Fixed an issue where saving the website settings could get stuck on "Downloading old version..."
