Is there a way to automatically allow retry on assignments? We would like students to be able to submit new documents without a teacher needing to click "allow retry". Thanks!
If using assignment activity types, students can submit as many times as they want up to when it has been graded or when no more attempts are allowed.
If assessments are being used, there is not a standalone setting that will perform that. However, if remediation is used in the assessments, students will be allowed a retry automatically for items that they didn't master.
Another possible option is to bulk-update items for students through the Activity Grader.

There isn't an setting that directly restricts or allows a certain number of attempts for assignment activity types. Students may submit as many times as needed up till the activity is graded or a due date restriction occurs.

Thanks! Where can we determine the number of attempts allowed on an assignment? I'm familiar with that setting on assessments.
