Good morning,
I've been working with a content provider to try and run reports on their end using student data. However, they're indicating that all the information isn't coming across to their platform due to what they think is a security setting in Buzz. I'm providing their response to my inquiry below. Is there a way to alter settings in Buzz to allow this information to be transmitted? Thanks!
"Specifically, because Agilix Buzz is not sending the student names or userID's to Adaptive Keyboarding, there isn't anyway to populate report with names or userID's.
Most LMS's that we are familiar with have a settings option that can be changed so that user information is shared with the content provider. However, we weren't able to see how to do this for Buzz from their support documentation on the website. I have reached out to Buzz via their "Contact Us" option on their web page, but was not able to speak to anyone as I don't have a support ID. I will let you know what I hear!
As a customer of theirs though, you might want to contact them directly too, in case you get a quicker response. The question for them is, how do we change settings on your end so that Buzz passes/shares user information to Adaptive Keyboarding?"

Hey Heather, I believe that I received an email request regarding this, too. I'm going to follow-up there, but wanted to provide you some information since this is public.
Buzz does indeed send the student's names to the LTI provider if the student has not opted out of sharing their private information with third-parties. This is a LTI standard to allow the student the privacy options to make this choice. As we comply with LTI, we have made this available to the user. See How do I change my User Settings? Regarding the user ID, Buzz always shares this with every student LTI request. This comes through in the LTI specified attribute titled `user_id`.
I'll follow up in the email with more information.
Is there a way to disable user ability to adjust their LTI Privacy settings?

Hi Marc Collins!
Good question!
Currently there is not a setting to prevent users from modifying those options. In order for Buzz to be compliant with the LTI standard, users need to have the ability to control those settings for their own privacy.
