BusyBee AI Study Tools: Same helpful tools, easier to find and use

BusyBee AI Study Tools have a new look and layout that make learning support easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to use while working in supported activities.

BusyBee Study Tools are easier to find and understand

Students no longer have to scroll below the activity to find the available Study Tools. You can now open them from the toolbar where they're always just a click away. BusyBee greets the student and the tools include descriptions of what they do.

The activity stays visible while students use the Study Tools

BusyBee Study Tools now open beside the activity instead of covering it. Students can read the activity, ask questions, review concepts, or practice without losing sight of the content they are working on. The tools are part of the activity, not a side quest.

BusyBee Study Tools content refresh and scoring improvements

In this release, we also made the following updates to BusyBee Study Tools:

  • Updated Check My Understanding, Review Key Concepts, and Help My Student to keep AI-generated study support more current by refreshing an activity's AI cache when key activity content changes or when the cache has not been refreshed in about three months. Changes to an activity's Content field, Metadata > Description field, or Learning objectives trigger an AI cache refresh.
  • Improved Check My Understanding to more accurately evaluate student responses when generating and scoring questions.

Early access: Improve security with OAuth-based API authentication

We are introducing a more secure OAuth-based model for Buzz API authentication. This model is designed to support automated API processes while improving long-term security and alignment with stronger account protection options.

This change is not yet required and does not impact existing automated API processes. Over time, OAuth-based authentication will become the recommended path for integrations and other automated API usage.

We are looking for customers to help test the migration experience

  • Resolved an issue in the Matching Drag-and-Drop question editor where checkboxes in the Interaction card would sometimes not be aligned.
  • Fixed a styling issue where, when a user had a long name, the User menu would not align with the profile picture correctly.
