What are Course cards?

Course cards appear on the Home page for you and your students. They display different things for each audience.

What do Course cards display for teachers?

In the teacher app, Course cards show:

  1. A course title, term/dates, color, and image: These are all managed through the Editor (see instructions below).
  2. Tool shortcuts: The buttons along the bottom let you quickly jump to the Activity Player (Activities), the Gradebook, the People tool, and the Editor.
  3. The More menu: Expand this menu to quickly add or Edit course nickname (these only appear for you), Hide course, and Create a copy of the course.

What do Course cards display for students?

For students, Course Cards can display:

  1. A course title, term/dates, color, and image: These are all managed through the Editor (see instructions below).
  2. Students grade/score: The Course Card displays the student's grade. You can define in what form (letter grade, points, or percentage) the grade is displayed (see instructions below).
  3. Course progress: If a course is set up to display student progress, students see a progress bar that indicates how many of the gradable activities they have completed. To remove this, check the Hide student course-completion percentage box in the Editor > Settings > Gradebook > Options (see instructions below).
