The project wizard allows you to create the robust project activities necessary for effective project-based learning (PBL).
Well-planned project-based learning (PBL) encourages students to:
- Collaborate
- Approach a topic using a variety of modes and mediums
- Tackle real-world issues
- Reflect on their experience
Projects contain multiple activities, like a folder, and the Project wizard allows you to quickly add activities that support those goals (Peer assessments, Blogs, Discussions, Journals, and Wikis).
Unlike a folder, projects are given a start and end date and when a student opens their Course home during the defined timeframe, the project is listed above the other activities in the Current projects section.
When the student opens the project, the project description and instructions are displayed with the included activities, the due dates, and the student's progress.
