What accommodations are available in Buzz for students with IEPs?

I don't believe there are any accommodations built into Buzz. There is a place for accommodations to be listed for a student, but only someone with administrator access can enter them. As a teacher, you can read them. There is a page about that here.

You have to adjust Buzz activities yourself to make any needed accommodations. We typically make a new group in our course for special needs students. Some adjustments can be made to an activity for individual groups like extended time, extended due dates, etc. Actually changing questions to reduce the overall length, reduce the number of multiple choice answers, etc. generally requires duplicating an activity to create a modified version. Then you would have to do something like adjust the visibility settings by group or assign through the clipboard to control which students see the original activity and which see the modified version.

Thank you for your response! Do you know if there are any settings that allows tests or quizzes to be read aloud to a student?

There is nothing built into Buzz to do that. I know my school purchased a Chrome extension called Snap and Read for our students to use on their ChromeBooks. I'm sure there are many options out there.

Hello everyone!

We do allow recording accommodations as indicated by the link Bruce provided earlier. If selected, it will apply to already created assessment activity types for users that have accommodations enabled, ignoring time limits and other modifications made in the accommodations card.

Buzz is currently integrated with SpeechStream to read text to users in assignments and rich text activities only. It can be licensed for all users without individual users needing to install an extension. See Accessibility and Buzz for more information about SpeechStream.
