Protect your Buzz account with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Your Buzz account provides access to sensitive data. Protecting that access is an important part of maintaining a secure learning environment.
This is why Buzz supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), giving you an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification in addition to your password when signing in. This means that even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without the additional verification step.
MFA helps protect against:
- Stolen or reused passwords
- Phishing attacks that attempt to capture login credentials
- Account compromise resulting from password leaks on other websites
Buzz supports MFA through authenticator applications that generate secure verification codes during sign-in. Once MFA is enabled, users are prompted to enter both their password and a verification code when accessing Buzz.
We strongly encourage all users to enable MFA whenever possible, especially administrators and teachers. Administrators should evaluate MFA adoption as part of their organization's overall security strategy and encourage staff to protect accounts that have access to student records, grades, course content, and administrative settings.
- How do I enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) login for users?
- How do I set up multi-factor authentication (MFA) for my account?
A strong password is important, but MFA provides a critical additional layer of protection that can significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized access to your Buzz account.
