These tips apply only if the Inbox is not enabled in your domain.
Buzz provides multiple ways to message individuals, and for teachers to message select groups, an entire class, or students across all courses.
Sometimes messages aren't successfully delivered, and there can be multiple reasons why. When a message cannot be delivered to a user for a known reason Buzz sends a message to the sender where:
- The subject reads Delivery Status Notification (Failure).

The body states the reason why it was undelivered and to whom it was supposed to be sent, for example:

Invalid email address for Suzy Student: 'suzyexample.com'.
- Invalid email address means that our system does not believe the email address saved for the user is formatted correctly. In this example, it is missing an @ symbol and should read suzy@example.com.

Invalid SMS address for Suzy Student: '5551234567'.
- Invalid SMS address means that our system does not believe the SMS address saved for the users is formatted correctly. In this example, it should be formatted as an email address with the phone carrier's hostname.

No enrollees to which to send mail message.
- No enrollees means that there are no active enrollments in the course to receive the message.

Unverified email address for Suzy Student: 'suzy@example.com'.
- Unverified email address means that the user has not verified their account and are unable to receive messages at the address.

Suppressed address for Suzy Student: 'suzy@example.com'.
- Suppressed address means that the user's email provider has told us to stop sending the user messages. This may be done automatically by the provider or in response to the user marking previous messages as spam.

Invalid email address for Suzy Student: 'suzyexample.com'.
