Improved grade printing
We've enhanced the Print grades workflow to make it easier and more reliable than ever to create polished, accurate grade printouts.
- Critical information is always included by default, ensuring consistency across all grade printouts.
- Streamlined workflow allows you to choose what additional information to include while you preview the printout in the print dialog, no need to preselect columns before starting the print process.
These improvements standardize grade printouts, reduce missed information, and make it easier for users to produce well-formatted reports every time.
Students and Observers print grades from Grades
Printing grades for multiple courses at once
Students, observers, and administrators can print a student's grades for all of their active or past coures in one printout.
Previously, the information included in these printouts was controlled by the Visible columns selected for the screen.
Now, when users click Print on these screens, some critical information is always included and they can choose to add more columns.
- Active courses always include each course's title and Score. You can use the Optional columns dropdown to include Start/End dates, Days left, Teachers, Progress (on gradable activities), and Progress (All).
- Past courses always include each course's title, School year, Final grade, and Score. You can use the Optional columns dropdown to include Start/End dates, Time spent, Teachers, Progress (on gradable activities), and Progress (All).
Printing activity scores for a single course
Students, teachers, observers, and administrators can print a student's activity scores for a single course.
As always, each activity's Title and Score are included by default ensuring a clear printout with the critical information. Now, if you want to add more information to the printout, like Location, Status, Submitted dates, or Due dates, you can open the Optional columns dropdown and select them.
The print preview automatically updates to show the additional information.
Administrators can create customized Headers and Footers to be included with printed student Grades printouts.
How do I create headers and footers for student grade printouts?
Updated "session terminated" page for improved security
In this release, we updated Buzz to display a fullscreen "session terminated" page when a session ends due to idle timeout or logging out in another browser window to ensure sensitive information is not left visible on the screen.
Buzz fixes
In this release, we also:
- Fixed an issue where, if a student navigated to a SCORM activity and their session timed out due to inactivity, the student's User activity report would continue to record time spent in that SCORM activity.
- Fixed an issue that could cause bloated activity times in a student User activity report if a student session was ended due to idle timeout and they logged back in using the token from the timed-out session.
- Fixed an issue in the Activity player header where the clickable area for the "Next activity" button overlapped the "Previous activity" button.
