Hello,
We have an API integration from our SIS(school Pathway) into BUZZ that manages user account creations. I was told by School Pathways that student passwords do not get sent across the API but instead that a long string of characters is shared. Pathways mentioned that when a new user account is created in BUZZ that an email is supposed to be sent to the student from BUZZ that contains a link to have the student set up their password. I am not sure if this is happening because at the begging of this school year we had a lot of students submit a support ticket to our IT department stating that they are not able to log in and did not know the password to us.
Can you tell me if this is the correct process where the student is supposed to receive an email from BUZZ with the link to set their password? If this is the correct process can you check on your end to see if the emails are being sent?

Good morning, Sergio! Thank you for reaching out!
Do other school that use the API integration with their SIS have the student password come across the API?
On a different note, I just got off of a meeting with teachers and the Principle that use BUZZ for their students curriculum and they mentioned that having to get the emails verified before being able to email those emails address through BUZZ is creating a bit of a hurdle. Is there a setting in BUZZ that we can set so that all emails address that come across in the API from our SIS get automatically verified? Or can a rule be created on your end that will do this?
Good questions, Sergio!

Buzz supports passwords being assigned to user accounts upon user creation. With that in mind, if SIS supports adding passwords to user accounts upon user creation in Buzz, that would be a viable solution.

Thank you for your help with all my questions Trevor.
