Hello!
For the Advanced Gradebook Options widget, there is a setting called "Score can be dropped from calculated course score." How do you actually use this setting in practice? I can't find any explanation in existing Buzz documents. For example, if this setting is enabled, does a teacher have the ability somewhere to drop this assignment from being included in the calculated course score? Where would I find that functionality?
Thanks for any insight!

Hi Meri,
Each grading category can be set to drop a specified number of lowest scores, which means those lowest scores will automatically be excluded from the student’s final grade calculation.
The “Score can be dropped from calculated course score” setting on an activity determines whether that specific item is eligible to be dropped as part of that category rule. If the setting is enabled, the item can be dropped if it is among the lowest scores. If it is disabled, the item will always be included in the final grade, even if it is the lowest.
For example, if you want to drop the lowest test grade, you would place those items in a “Tests” grading category and configure that category to drop the desired number of lowest scores. The system will then automatically drop the lowest eligible score(s) based on those settings.
More information on setting up grading categories to drop lowest scores can be found here: How do I set up Buzz to drop lowest scores in a grading category?
