Hi Shelly! If enabled for your school, you can also use the Inbox to send a course-wide message to your students that also includes attachments. This would surface to your students in Buzz very much like announcements do. A benefit of the Inbox is that you can also see who has viewed the message.

It is possible to add a link or embed a Google Drive document, which can contain and provide the desired content.
