Is it possible to have a column on our Teacher app home page that includes the course ID by the course title . It would be extremely helpful to have this feature when referring to a specific course.
Currently, it is not possible to add a column to the teacher homepage. If the course ID is known, then you can add a Nickname to the course in the Teacher app for visibility/identification.
Please let me know if you have any other questions for me regarding this!
Thank you for the feedback! We will use it for potential Buzz changes/considerations for the future.
Please note that Buzz does currently allow for your user account to edit the nicknames of courses. Adding nicknames will not influence the course and students in any way and would only be visible for the user that adds them to help with organizational purposes of the individual teacher.
I understand that this may not be plausible due to if restrictions have been set by your organization. If the latter is the case, I recommend reaching out to your organization to discuss it as a potential use case.
Thanks, I am happy to hear this could be considered.
Also consider the virtual schools are often subjected to the influx of students and courses, sometimes daily, sometimes weekly to meet the needs as I work with multiple organizations. There are times new courses are created and assigned and I do not know these course ID's easily without researching them. I have to search for these course ID using multiple ways such as clicking on the tool bar as if I was going to hide the course and I can see the column with the course ID. Imagine having 20 courses having the same exact name and trying to find the course Id then remembering the first one on the list is 9829, the second on is 2121 etc ,then changing it. Myu luck as I am doing it, a new course gets created and I get to the bottom and realize I am off by one. Yes, it can be done if the organizaiton allows it, but it involves a lot of clicking, copying, pasting and PATIENCE.
Now imagine having over 300 courses on your home page and doing this for each one.
