A ticket was submitted by your organization to Agilix Support addressing this behavior.
In November of 2019 we made a change to allowed characters in "Item IDs for new items may only contain alphanumeric, underscore, period, and dash characters".
The example provided by your organization includes an ID of a folder that includes brackets in it's ID which are invalid characters and will return this error.
To fix this, it is recommend that a user create a new folder in the course with valid characters for it's ID. Then move the activities contained in the folder to the newly made folder and delete the previous folder that contains invalid characters in it's ID.
