SmartSparrow (AELP) and LTI Domains/Subdomains/Subscriptions

Our vendor is generating LTI key & secret by domain. We have clients that have their own Buzz instance, but would like to use subscriptions to have access to our courses. Doing some testing on our end, if we put the LTI at the top level of our domain, and create a sub-domain, the LTI does not work. Each link in the course requires this LTI. So the alternative might be to put the LTI in manually for every link, as highlighted in this article: https://support.agilix.com/hc/en-us/articles/208073246-How-do-I-create-activities-with-Learning-Tools-Interoperability-LTI-

Ideally, we would like to have one LTI key/secret for our instance and one LTI key/secret for the client's instance.

Is it possible to use a subscription in this use-case? Or do we need to add the LTI credentials to every link manually for each client?

Hey Blane!

If you are entering LTI credentials at the domain level, you will need to do so for each domain that the courses are housed within that will be utilizing LTI. This may be easier than doing so for each individual activity within the courses depending upon how many activities utilize LTI.

How do we apply those domain level LTI credentials to the activity then? Our vendor supplies us with a different URL per lesson in their system. We would need to apply the same domain level LTI credentials to each one of these, correct? How is that setup?

The link that you provided in your initial post contains the process of adding LTI credentials to individual domains or to individual activities. If you are adding them to activities, you do not need to add them to the domain. If you are adding the credentials at the domain, you will just need to select in the activity editor to Digitally sign the request for LTI.
