Implemented feature idea or fixed bug
I prefer the old format, too. In addition to what has been mentioned, the contrast was greater on the old gradebook, making it easier to read.

Hey Karen, we appreciate your feedback! I would recommend following the discussions occurring on this thread as we have provided some additional updates.
The updates are a real help, Brad, but I still really miss the alternating colored horizontal rows that helped one keep tracking with the student as you scroll across.
Brad, well, some time has gone by for us as we use the new gradebook. I would still say that it is not as user friendly. But one thing that is really TROUBLESOME is that when I sort my gradebook by "End Date" column or by "% Complete" column, it does not stay in this sort order when I enter a grade. It jumps back to being the automatic sorting by name. This is really a problem as I have to keep re-sorting over and over as I enter grades. The old version of the gradebook stayed sorted even as I worked on the grades. Could you please have your tech team fix this as soon as possible? I would be so very grateful!!!
Hey Wendy, I believe that latest report is a bug. I have asked our team to look into it.
I miss the colored rows too - the new format is much harder to read for us poor old teachers who peer at screens all day.
In today's update, we have made several enhancements to the gradebook. Specifically:
Thanks, Brad. We appreciate your work on this front. I'm sure we'll want more since this is a space where teachers spend a bunch of time. For example, we would love to see a return to the BH feature where you could click on the number of missing items in the footer and get a list of all of the students missing that assignment - sooooo nice! Sorry, we're greedy, but we really do appreciate these current improvements.
Thanks,
Jeremy
