I have a linked assessment for students that I added to many courses. My original, linked assessment had an incorrect answer selected in the key.
When I update the linked assessment, the answer key does not update on the linked versions in the other shells/courses.
On another linked assessment, I wanted to add a question that would go to all linked assessments. The "content" updates on the activity, but when I add a question, that does not appear on the linked versions in my other courses.
How can I ensure my linked assessment questions and answers can be updated from the source instead of needing to individually adjust all the linked ones that were created?
This is expected behavior when linking between derivative items instead of linking solely to the root source item. To ensure all items will receive updates from a source, they should be linked to the root course item. Otherwise, the item will need to be updated in the next level up, source location so that the change is seen in the item in question.

I then added that original activity (the entire thing, not single questions) from the sandbox course to my other courses by selecting it from the library, adding to my cart, and choosing link. All the linked activities show the little chain icon on them. However, changes to the original source item do not reflect in the answers or questions in the linked copies, only changes in the "content" area will show up in the linked copies. Is there a way to ensure I have linked my assessment activity correctly so that I can add/remove questions or edit the answer key once in the original source and see the changes reflected in all the linked copies?
