Hi, A students email was changed in our student information system causing their username to change in Buzz and the SSO to disconnect. We changed the email in our SIS, but how would we go about changing their username in Buzz and reconnecting, so they can SSO through their SIS student portal.
It is possible to import a CSV with just that user with the username you want to change it to. However, it needs to match what it is in the SIS. If it is a priority, I would encourage escalating this topic to School Pathways support.
I may need additional clarification on your statement. If the process done before through the SIS changed the username in Buzz, then it would seem that the same operation would need to be performed to modify the username again to impact the username in Buzz. The SIS would need to sync those changes in Buzz.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions as I am happy to help you!
The format of the CSV file should be as seen in the screenshot below. Please note you will need to replace data inside the cells under the column headers Username, User ID, and Domain ID with the user's respective information.
I am curious why changing the email address in the SIS changed the username in Buzz to one that didn't match the SIS when those are different data types (email and username). Is it possible the username was modified in the SIS and that change hasn't synced with Buzz yet? Does the SIS have it's own username entity field to edit that is separate from the email entity?
Hello Brian, Thank you for help the issue has been resolved. We use the same information for email and username, and I wanted to fix the username before reaching out to out sis because I know they would have asked to make that change first.
I had an extra question: Is there a reason the classes someone is enrolled in SIS would not transfer over to buzz in their "Enrollments" tab?
I can include this in another message if needed, thank you!

Those actions are usually handled by API requests and depend upon what data is present in those requests that the SIS is sending to Buzz. If the courses are not coming over in Buzz, it would be helpful for us to see what API requests the SIS attempted to send to Buzz when those actions took place. Have you attempted to escalate this behavior with School Pathways support? If needed, they can submit a ticket with Agilix Support to help facilitate an investigation.

What lines would I use to Edit a username? It seems to want to add a new account instead of edit a current one.
