Buzz: Product Feedback
Link to Edit Assignment from GradebookFollow
Implemented feature idea or fixed bug
Teachers would like a link to edit an assignment from the gradebook. Currently, in order to change relative weight, due date, or score input method, teachers have to leave the gradebook view, go into curriculum map, find the assignment, to open and edit.
We would like to see either
- A link to edit under the assignment name in the gradebook view
or 2. A link to edit in the Activity Grader view.
Thank you for considering this request.
We've previously requested the same thing via YouTrack so we 100% support this request. We often go straight from the gradebook in BH to turn on the black zero setting after a due date has passed and to make other adjustments so we would appreciate the appearance of this feature in Buzz.
In this coming Thursday's release, teachers will be able to click an "Edit Activity" button in the toolbar in the Activity Grader. This should better help teachers make quick corrections while grading an activity without leaving the grading window.
That's fabulous news, Brad. Thank you so much. I shared this with a couple of people last night. They replied with giddy excitement.
I'm not sure if I'm in the wrong place, but when I click on the Edit Activity button it doesn't allow me to edit. It only allows me to view the activity.
Just Viewable, Not editable.
Look up on the menu bar. The edit activity button is at the far right.
So, the red-cirlced title you have in your picture previews the activity. The "Edit Activity" button in the toolbar (purple in your screenshot) should prompt you to edit the activity.
Thank you. That's what I was looking for!
I'd like to request that the edit link opens up the activity editor rather than syllabus view.
This was a great fix about a year ago. However, in the updates, the edit link brings teachers back to the Syllabus view of the editor, rather than just opening the editor for the assignment itself.
