Is there a way in Buzz to assign a different number of attempts to various questions in an assessment or a homework assignment?
Example: We have our labs in Buzz as an Assessment. Generally, the students get 2 attempts on the entire assessment. However, I would like to limit the number of attempts they submit the data table. That way I grade the data table on the first attempt, and they can't change the numbers.

Yes, you can limit the number of attempts for specific questions when using the Homework activity type.

That does help. I use this for my AP class where they have 1 question that an "Is This Possible Question?" Where they have to proved whether it is possible or not, and the rest of the questions are math oriented questions they can repeat over and over again.
I heard you say that this isn't a possibility in an Assessment. Any chance that could be a possible improvement in the future? The reason I ask is that for the labs, it would be tedious for the students to have the assignment be a "Homework." since they have to click into each question to answer them. If we make them "Assessments," then they put all their data into one assessment and submit it all at once.
I don't really think that this would come in an Assessment. What you have explained is the purpose of Homework. What you can do, is group all of the questions that can be taken multiple times together and have them displayed at once. So, there would be no going in-an-out for those questions. In this case, they would see the multiple attempt questions displayed once on the landing screen and then the single-attempt question listed once.
Another purpose of Homework is to allow a student to only retake the necessary questions, or the ones that they have not mastered.
I think the issue may be with the style of Homework. I tend to use Assessment because of the ability to see all the questions at the same time. We often have questions that refer back to a previous answer (e.g. Q.3 Choose the 3 qualities that best describe the main character. then Q.4.Defend your choices).

No, currently Homework can display multiple questions at once but the same submission rules would apply to each of them. Different submission rules would only apply to different groups of questions.
I have noted a feature request to display all questions at once with different attempt options.

I didn't Option 1 existed. I'll have to play around with it.
We used Option 2 for a while, but then stopped using it because a lot of our tests use the homework assignments as test banks. We found that instead of pulling the whole composite question in, it would pull in just parts of the composite. So sometimes the students would get the first question in the composite; sometimes they would get just the questions; and sometimes they would get just the description. It has been a while since we've played with that, so Agilix may have fixed it in one of their updates.
