As part of your password policy, you can control when user accounts are locked and how those lockouts are handled. Locking accounts after repeated failed login attempts or after a period of inactivity is a standard security practice that helps protect user data.
You can choose to have lockouts automatically expire after a set amount of time, allowing users to try again, or allow administrators to manually remove lockouts when needed.
To manually override password lockout for a user:
- Open the Users tool from the Main Menu.
- Select the user's User ID.
- Open the vertical menu in the toolbar.
- Click Reset Lockout.
