editing login page

I am unable to save any style edits in the text code of the theme login page. I could do that previously. I have chosen Text in the Login page box, and added an image via the insert image button. I would like to center the logo, enlarge it, etc. Now, when I edit the code, hit done, and then save, it does not save most of the edits. It will save a plain <div>, but it will not save a <div style="text-align: center;">. How can I edit the login page to customize it for a basic logo? I know about the URL and file method, but sometimes a simple logo with a few edits is what's wanted.

Hi Bonnie,

Thank you for reaching out, and apologize that the workflow isn't working as it did before.

We’d like to find out why your edits aren’t saving the way they used to. To help us look into it, please send us:

  1. Your domain ID where you are attempting to make those edits. You can find it in Admin > Domain > Details.
  2. The full HTML you’re trying to save. Or if it's present in the domain, we may be able to investigate it directly.
  3. The theme name, if your domain has more than one theme.
  4. How you’re getting to the theme. Are you making these edits after using the Open Domain feature to go into the domain, or while signed in to that domain directly?
  5. Any errors you see. Do you get error messages or warnings in Buzz when you click Done or Save? If so, the exact wording or a screenshot would be very helpful.

While you gather those details, W3Schools is an excellent resource for HTML and CSS. Its Try It editor lets you test your code and see the result right away. If your code works there but not in Buzz, that’s helpful for us to know too. These pages cover what you’re trying to do:

You’re also welcome to use the URL/file method you mentioned if you’d like, but we’d still like to understand why the Text option isn’t working for you.

Thank you for your patience, and for taking the time to explain the issue so clearly.

Thanks, Brian. I've emailed the details. Here's what I did:

1. I logged into the domain where my account resides.

2. I tried to use this:

<div style="text-align: center; padding-top: 60px;">
  <img
    src="removedactuallink"
    alt="PCSD Logo"
    style="width: 600px; max-width: 100%; height: auto;"
  >
</div>
Padding-top has been an issue before, so I simplified and tried placing empty <div>’s to push the image down from hugging the top, and removed the max-width and height:

<div>
 <div style="text-align: center;">
 <br>
 </div>
 <div style="text-align: center;">
 <br>
 </div>
 <div style="text-align: center;">
 <br><img src="removedactuallink" style="width: 600px;" class="fr-dib"></div></div>

Either way, it saves this:

<div>
<div>
<br>
</div>
<div>
<br>
</div><img src="removedactuallink.png" style="width: 300px;" class="fr-fil fr-dib"></div>

3. no theme
4. I logged into my home domain, used the search function, looked up the domain, and checked the domain settings.
5. no error messages

Thanks for the W3Schools reference and link. The code does work there.

I appreciate your help!
