question about using metadata fields

I've read all the articles about creating metadata fields and I'm still unclear on their use. It seems they can serve a variety of purposes depending on whether they are attached to a course, activity, user, etc. Do you have any information that explains the best use of them in their different locations within Buzz? I'm especially curious about how best to use them at a course and lesson level. Do I use complete sentences or hashtags, phrases separated by commas? And what type of information do I include?

Good question, Cheryl!

We do not have specific examples to provide on the best use case. How they are implemented depends on how someone wants to use them and what information the person would like to supply. For example, it is possible to create user meta data to indicate if users are a teacher or not from the domain Users list in the Admin app.

Metadata is available for use at the domain, user, course, and assessment question area.
