Zero colors

Hi! I work for a virtual school - we just implemented the temporary 0 placeholders so students can always see a true grade. But, some of the zeroes in my student's gradebooks are green and the others are red. I can't figure out what the green ones indicate...the assignment is weighted and it's not a passing score of 0 because it calculates in the What If and average....Please advise.

I assume you mean the course setting that assigns zeros to past due work.

Buzz uses red for failing grades and green for passing grades (and black for temporary/incomplete scores). Are there both red and green zeros for the same assignment or are  green zeros for certain assignments and red for other assignments? Maybe try opening a few activities in the editor. Go to the settings and look at the advanced gradebook options. What score does it say is required for passing? I suppose someone could say that 0% is passing so a zero would be green.

Hello everyone!

Bruce is onto it. The same passing score field is found in the activity settings. When passing score is set to 0 it can cause a zero in the gradebook for the activity to appear green. The setting can also apply to student groups. I am able to get it into that state by having a passing score of zero on the activity.
