Tracking Student Minutes with the Heat Activity Map

Students have figured out a way to inflate the actual amount of time they spend working on a subject. In one example, a student was showing to have logged 4,700 minutes for one particular class that day. The next day, for that same class, the hours were inflated to over 12,000 minutes. How can this be prevented?

Hello Michael!

If students have opened multiple browser windows within Buzz this can bloat the time spent within the activity. If admins are pulling user enrollment activity from the Buzz reports page they can select the option "Exclude overlapping time" to take into account multiple browser tabs that are open.

We have no control over a user opening multiple windows in Buzz. The only good way to enforce using a single window would be to use some type of proctor browser or lock screen program.
