Granting Domain Permissions

Hi Agilix Friends! I cannot grant a domain role with less permissions than mine. I have a custom role with almost all rights, but when I try to grant someone a custom role (that we created) that has less permissions I get an error that says 'Access denied: you do not have the rights you are trying to grant.' Error ID a971b2993ea54a81ba63bd350bd7c71a. I've triple checked the roles and all of the lesser role's rights are accounted for in my custom permissions. Is there a way around this? So far I've had to proxy as a user with the exact role I'm trying to grant someone, but one of our school's just created a brand new role that no one has yet.

Hey Keoni!

It's possible if the role was created through the API that there are rights flags that are not the same between the two accounts. You could use the API to lookup the rights flags on the roles to compare what may be missing. There could be other reasons such as the target user containing an enrollment outside of your user domain scope.

If additional assistance is needed you may submit a ticket to Agilix Support.
