For intervention purposes, I am trying to duplicate a quiz and make modifications for my special ed students within a class period. Though I have assigned two groups within that class, I cannot figure out how to assign one version of the quiz to one group while the intervention group receives only the modified quiz. Is it possible for this to be done?
What specific modifications are you attempting to make? Much of the settings in the activity may be applied to specific groups as has been provided in this post thread.
I ended up figuring this out. I was needing to make two versions of a test (specifically a modified version for an inclusion classroom). Trial and error using group settings and I got it to work seamlessly. Thank you for the follow -up.
Hi, Hilarie! I am struggling with this right now. I made my groupings. But now when I modify content, it's changing it for ALL. I know you don't have time (none of us do, ha!) but would mind sharing how you figured it out??
So what I ended up doing was make a duplicate of the assignment. In my case it was a quiz. I did this through the editor. I also made my two groups (one group of mainstream gen/ed students and the second one for IEP/intervention students). When you are in the editor for that particular class period, across the top you will see syllabus, projects, weights, etc. Clear over to the right you will see "Group Settings." When you click on that you should see all the assignments listed and both groups that you created. Using the "eyeball" feature you can determine which assignment you want each group to see. That is how I have been using the feature and it has worked well thus far.

When you are setting the visibility for your group you can adjust other settings like due dates.

I truly hope this is helpful!
