If this is for a continuous course, students may access the activities and still submit them after being auto flunked to receive an improved score.
If this is a range course, you may select the title of the activity from the column header in the gradebook to open the activity grader, select the students you want to batch grant a retry, select the tools button at the top right of the page, select from the menu batch update scores, select retry.
