I have a student who worked way ahead at the beginning of the year and just threw info into the Submission lessons to complete it. It is evident that she did not go through the lessons prior to submitting work for these activities. Is there any way I can delete/remove those submissions or do I just have to give her the option to Allow Retry?

This would be an issue that would need to be worked out with grader. They could flunk the student on the activities and issue retries for the activities, or they could only issue retries on the activities and request the student perform the work and then grade the activities as needed at a later time.
There is not a way in Buzz to remove student submissions.
