When a teacher is utilizing the Editor Tool through the Settings tab within an activity, there is an option under Visibility and Access that states “Block access until student masters objective(s).” If the teacher selects this option and a student does not achieve mastery on their first attempt, what happens next?
Does the student get another attempt?
If you answered yes my question, is it a different version of the first attempt and is it automatically populated?
If you answered no to my question, what does the teacher need to do?
The student may continue to use their available attempts and may be granted a retry if they continue to not achieve mastery. This will generate a new version because it is a new attempt. A student cannot move forward until they have achieved mastery.
If the teacher feels the student should continue on in the class for any reason they may select the "override complete" button in the grade editor of the teacher gradebook allowing the student to continue on to the next activity in the course.
