New Activity Player

The 7/18 release notes give June 2020 as the date when the old activity player will no longer be available. Is there a set day in June for the switch? I am looking at summer scheduling and this is a factor. Thanks!

Hey Laura Creach, the switch will be going away on June 25, 2020. At this time, only the new Activity Player will be available.

Since this exact date will likely not be perfect for you or another institution, we would recommend switching to the new Activity Player at the most convenient time prior to this date.

Thanks Brad. Is there a new Student Orientation course to match the new activity player?

Yes, Laura Creach, there is. You will need to request the new Student Orientation course here and then a copy of the course will be placed in your domain.

Greetings,

I really like the new Activity Player.  Yet, as I build out a Student User Guide handout with screenshots, updated 2020 Activity Player screenshots do not yet exist in Agilix Help Center.  For example, the Course Home page in the 2020 Activity Player has 5 icon items (Student App, Grades, Notes, Communication, Calendar) whereas the previous Activity Player had 4 icon items on the Course Home.

Can you direct me to or add an updated 2020 Activity Player screenshot to include a label for the 5 icon items on the 2020 Activity Player?

Thank you,

Hi Jon,

I'm sorry you've encountered some outdated information. I have found and updated two articles (included below), and am linking to other articles that should be useful for you. I'm reviewing the remaining relevant articles to make sure there aren't other oversights. On some of these articles, you'll see that there is an "Old Activity Player" and a "New Activity Player" link in the article; make sure to click "New Activity Player."

Thank you!
