iPad error in submitting images

Implemented feature idea or fixed bug
Chris Conant

There seems to be an issue with submitting images via iPad. When multiple documents are selected by the teacher, if a student clicks the plus sign, and attach a file, they have the option of using the Photo Library (camera roll) or Take a Photo or Video. If they go to take a photo, attach the image to the assignment, then click the + sign again to attach a second picture, only the second picture shows up in the Gradebook for the teacher. It does work correctly when multiple pictures are taken first, then the Photo Library is used, however, in cases where teachers use devices for multiple classrooms, this can eat up storage and also allow students to access other students' work.

Hello Chris!

I am able to encounter this same behavior in my testing. I will let you know what we find from our investigation.

Hey Chris I hope you are having a great day!

The issue was caused because the second file that was created is using the same file name as the first image that was uploaded. So, Buzz will only honor the first image that was uploaded to be displayed.

We have made a fix by adding a prompt to the Dropbox when a student attempts to attach a duplicate attachment. The prompt lets the student replace the duplicate or keep both attachments. This will be present in tomorrow's release 9/19.
