In the old UI, I was able to choose all activities in a grading category to switch them to a different grading category. The new UI only seems us to filter by title, type, and location. Is there another way to bulk edit everything within a grading category (or the other attributes)?

The old UI had the same filter features as the new Buzz UI. The only way to bulk edit the items to use a different grading category one would navigate to the course Activity List, select the checkbox next to the items you wish to modify, select the bulk edit button that looks like a pencil from the upper right hand of the page. One will be able to bulk modify the grading category of the selected activities .

Thank you. Do you know of another way to change the grading category of all items from one category to another for the purpose of combining grading categories? The only way I see to do this is select them one by one from the activity list and bulk edit in that way.

If one is bulk editing then one will need to do that through the activities list. Otherwise one would need to edit it in the item settings one at a time.
Kevin, I think you're looking for this (see image below). After you select items in the filtered list, click the pencil icon at the top of the screen. That gives you the option to change category.
