I have an assignment with a fill-in-the-blank question that has the Desmos graphing calculator embedded in it. A different question is an essay type for me to grade. When I go to grade the assignment, instead of taking me to the essay question to grade, Buzz scrolls down to the Desmos question. There is a cursor in the Desmos equation field. You can see in the screenshot that the question has a green check showing that it has already been graded. Will this always happen when embedding Desmos? Is it some quirk in how it was embedded? I would appreciate any insight you may have. I'll paste the question code below.

Bruce,
Thank you for your comment, and for providing detailed information about the issue. We were able to replicate your reported behavior, and it appears to be related to the aspect ratio or zoom settings in the browser. When these values are increased, Buzz may automatically shift focus to the embedded Desmos question rather than the essay question you need to grade.
Could you let me know what aspect ratio and zoom percentage you are currently using? If possible, try temporarily reducing those settings to see if it resolves the issue.
Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance!
I'm using Chrome. The zoom is set at 100%. I'm using a laptop with an external monitor. Its resolution is 1920 x 1080. I'll try changing the zoom the next time a students submits something with Desmos embedded.
I tried zoom settings from 50% to 150. None of them made a difference. The grading window still scrolled down to the question with Desmos embedded.
Hello Bruce! Andrew is away from the office today so I would like to provide an update.
This is an issue in the Desmos calculator that Buzz cannot control. The calculator intentionally focuses the text input field and scrolls it into view when the calculator is rendered. I recommend reporting this behavior to the developers of the Desmos calculator.
Ok, thank you for looking into it!
I reached out to Desmos as you suggested. They said that using their API would prevent that. Having Desmos built into Buzz would be great, especially since it is embedded in the SAT.
Hey Andrew &/or Trevor is embedding Desmos in Buzz using their API something that Agilix can do or is it something that must be done at our district level? If we have to enable it locally, can you give me some instructions to pass along to our tech team?
Good question, Bruce!
It might be possible to store the calculator in the domain resources and possibly point to it from the question editor so it can render when the activity is launched.
A developer from your team who is familiar with creating the coded relationships would need to set that up and test it.
Thanks for the quick response, Trevor! I'll contact our tech team and see if they can get it figured out.
