Are you going to be able to have the Feedback Comments go back to the way they were previously where they could be seen right under the feedback? Many of our teachers do not like the extra clicking that is now involved as opposed to the original area they could just select the text they wanted.
Hello Brett! Thank you for getting in touch with us!
At the moment, we don't have any plans to change this behavior. We completely understand that it might create a few steps for users to administer. With the updated Grade Editor side panel objects, our goal is to streamline and consolidate by bringing the settings together and to make way for future enhancements. This will also be beneficial for domains using the Inbox feature.
"Also, we've noticed that anything in a template seems to get highlighted in a white box. Would it be possible to remove the highlighting?"
If you haven’t intentionally added highlighting, its possible the content may have been copied and pasted from an external text editor.
Some possible solutions to consider:
Create templates in our tool as often as possible.
Remember that any highlights you add will appear in the colored message bubble.
When copying and pasting from an external text editor, paste as plain text to remove hidden styles. To paste as plain text use Ctrl + Shift + V on Windows and Cmd + Shift + V on Mac.
To remove styles from existing templates open the template editor, copy the text and delete it, then paste it in as plain text.
Thanks for the response! At our school, we have four campuses, and thus, four domains in Buzz. This means our team has to create templates at all 4 sites, so we often copy from one template to another or from a shared document (we use a LOT of templates). If we copy as plain text, this removes the links to our email addresses and tutoring calendars that we want students to access quickly. We have to re-add these items in each time and that takes a lot of time on the part of the teacher. Is there a way to request that removing any highlighting on items copied from an external text editor be considered?
Brian I am devastated that you have no plans to update the templates back beneath the feedback. 160+ teachers at my school are miserable grading now, clicking and clicking for you all to enjoy the visual streamlining.
Doesn't functionality beat form in this case, when it's clear your end users are deeply unhappy?

I also have a large team of teachers requesting that they be available below the feedback box. Would it be possible for them to be in both places?

Hi Brian,
Just checking back on this. Is it possible to consider some of the requests above?
