How to only have the observer app for parents

We have parents who are having the student app come up for them. They have the observer app as well for students, but I wanted to know how to hide the student app view and just have observer. They do not have any active enrollments in the student app either, but they are just getting confused.

Good morning Giovani!

Could I please get clarification if after the user authenticates the user experience is directing them to the student app? In my testing, after an observer authenticates to Buzz it moves the user experience to the observed list of students to choose from when the observer has no enrollments. The app picker will display the choice of Student app, but there is not a way to remove it from the list.

If it is moving the user experience to the student app for the observer and the user isn't enrolled in courses, could I please be provided with a user ID of one that currently encounters that behavior for us to investigate?

Thank you!

Thank you, Trevor.

It has taken the user to the student app, and they have click to go to the observer app. Is it possible to just remove the student app option for this user?

Great question!

I proxied as that user and the Buzz experience takes the user by default to the Observer app. The user will have access to the Student app from the App Picker menu, but because the user does not have any enrollments it won't be useful to the user. There isn't a way to remove the Student app from the menu picker.

Please let me know if you have other questions about this. I'm happy to help you!
