Hello, Needs grading does not show anything that needs to be graded. Is this broken? Thanks!

Hello Julie!

Thank you for reaching out. It's possible that you may need to unhide items from the courses through the Manage Courses page. Here's how you can do that:

From your teacher Homepage, click on the Manage Courses button and select View/Delete Courses from the menu.


Uncheck any checkboxes under the "Hide-to-do" column for the courses that contain items you want to appear in your to-do list. Note that the image below is merely an example.

We have also reached out to the support contact for your organization, and have brought this topic to their attention so that you can collaborate with them as needed. If you have any further questions, please let us know. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Hi Julie,

After working with the support contact for your organization, we were able to confirm that course ID 212836915 contains 5,736 active enrollments. To preserve page performance, we do not display items in the teacher Needs Grading page when there are more than 1,000 active enrollments a teacher oversees.

Two possible options to address this are:

  1. Change the enrollment status for students who are no longer working in the course to a status other than Active. This can be automatically performed on future enrollments by using the enrollment completion trigger option in the Course Settings.
  2. Split the active student enrollments across multiple child-copied courses to avoid exceeding 1,000 active enrollments in a single course.

Hi Andrew,

The system is so slow, it takes one minute and 28 seconds to mark the assignment. Please let me know if you can improve the performance, othewise I will never be able to grade everything in a timely manner.

We roster in another system to bring them into Buzz. I can't break the sections in the original system because of a playlist I created in the other system.

We really need your help. Thank you.

The slow performance you're experiencing is an expected result due to the large number of active enrollments. If this is a priority, I recommend escalating this report to your authorized support contact, as they are better suited to help manage these enrollments and address your specific needs.
