The total score for an assignment is 56 points so for most students the score field in the grade editor shows ___/56. However, for one student, the grade editor shows ___/50 instead. I double-checked the grade settings for all groups, and they seem to be consistent. For this student, it says "scaled to 50.4 out of 56" under the score field. The same problem occurs in another assignment, with a different student.
Suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hey Byron, the only thing I can think of without seeing the issue, is that the total points were adjusted after the student had received a score. If you open up the item, you can see the history of it and see if the total points had changed. If it did change, you can then try to correlate this with the score history for the student.
If this doesn't meet the need, I would recommend submitting a request to the Support team so that you can provide them with more details which may contain private information.
