Trash Can

Hello,

We`re currently going through a redevelopment phase and have run into many different hiccups along the way. In one instance, we pushed resources more than once into courses, creating duplicates. We`ll go through and delete these items, but when we run DLAP calls, they`ll appear, as if they`re stored in the background. Is there any was to "empty" the trash can to clean up a course?

Sincerely,

CJ

Hi Brad,

Thank you for taking the time to address my question, and so swiftly, I appreciate it! I guess my question is two-fold in that regard. We were using "getitemlist", which was pulling deleted items (haven`t tested since Buzz launch though).

My second question is specifically about the trash can. I love that deleted items are restoreable, but is there a way to "empty the trash"? Like you would on a personal computer? A use case would be if we wanted to resequence our courses from square one. Currently, to my knowledge, everything deleted would just hang out in the trash can.

Hey Christopher:

Any call using GetItemList should not include deleted items in it. If it is, please let me know so we can take a look into it.

The Recycle Bin displays all restorable items and does not currently support deleting items from it. I would recommend that you go to Product Feedback and submit it as an idea. If what you are really interested in is having a clean Recycle Bin, you could place all of the activities that need to be deleted into a single folder and then delete that one folder. This will show it as a single entry (a folder) in the Recycle Bin.

Thanks.
