Is there a way to use .gif files on the landing page?

Can anyone help me with adding .gif files on course Landing Pages?  When I add a .gif in a custom activity, it works, but I can't seem to get them to work on a course Landing Page using the same procedure of adding an image.  Is there a trick I am missing or is there no .gif functionality on Landing Pages?

You should be able to add a .gif to the landing page.

I just checked by adding a dancing banana to my Math course's landing page.  I copied and pasted the .gif in.

Thanks!  I tried the copy and paste method, but the .gif doesn't show up - only a "image" icon. I'll try switching browsers.

I am having the same problem. The image shows as a static image.  It does not move like it is supposed to.  Could anyone at Agilix respond?  How do we use GIFS in Buzz?

A couple of weeks ago we announced that a new UI for Buzz is coming soon and in this update it will allow GIFs to be inserted and retain the animation. The reason why you would experience the problem with a GIF losing its animation is because we encoded the image into the HTML, and this process would not allow for animations. In the new UI, the image is stored as a separate resource which allows it to retain its animation.
