I need this information, too. When I send reminders to students to stay on pace, I am getting questions about what determines when a pacelight moves from "green" to "yellow" to "red." Where can I find the criteria for these changes? Thanks!
For the "Pace" pacelight that is determined by the percentage of items that are past due. If there are more than 15% of the items in the course that are past due then the pacelight will be yellow and it will change to red when 30% of the activities in the course are past due.
For the "Performance" pacelight there are two values that are included, overall course score and how many of the past five items are below passing score. If both values are the same color then the number of items below passing score will take precedence, otherwise the displayed reason will be whichever has a more severe color.
If the student has received one score below passing score then they will have the yellow pacelight, changing to red when two of the past five scores are below passing score. If their overall course score is within 25% of the course threshold the pacelight will be yellow, changing to red when the score is below the threshold. For example, if the passing threshold for the course is 70% any student score that is at or below 77.5% will display as yellow (25% of the 30% range of passing scores).
Thanks so much for your answer. It is really helpful. I have a quick related question. For the Pace pacelight I noticed that there are two types of status reasons for the Red and Yellow lights: Activity and Late. Could you please define what the differences are for these reasons?
Late tracks the percentage of items that are past the due date whereas Activity tracks the number of days of inactivity for the student enrollment. By default Activity isn't tracked as courses usually have other indications that the student needs help, including late and performance. For questions on changing the default please reach out to your authorized support contact.
I know there's a place where you can redefine the pace and performance configurations. Could you point me to the right support article? I can't seem to find it again.

Thank you for your help!
Hello Nathaniel,

That cleared things up perfectly.
Thanks!

Hi Keoni!
You may use the document How do I set up Teacher Dashboard data? to redefine your pace and performance configurations.
Thanks, Brian! I need to update my notification preferences - I just saw this :)
